Michael’s Top 3 Issues

  • My earliest childhood memories are of spending time with my family on Walton County’s sugar-white beaches. Over the last six or seven years, a small group of influential individuals have gone to great lengths to ensure only a select few can make memories like the ones I cherish. As Walton County Commissioner, I will make every effort to expand and maintain the public’s right to access and peacefully enjoy the beaches.

  • As Commissioner, I will explore every option available to migrate our infrastructure dependence away from mobility fees generated by new developments. This is the first step in pausing further development until we can catch up on our infrastructure needs such as transportation, storm drainage, and cellular service.

  • Our parks and recreation programs have experienced unnecessary neglect over the last few years. As Commissioner, I will ensure parks and recreation receive adequate funding to accommodate the necessary staff and equipment required to maintain our facilities all across the county and to provide a world-class recreation sports program for our local youth. In addition to staffing and equipment, I will ensure parks and recreation have the necessary resources and support to acquire and maintain new sports facilities for locals and tourists alike to enjoy.

  • Tony doesn’t like to talk about the settlement he signed because he doesn’t want you to know how many miles of beach he gave away!

  • Tony claims to hate borrowing money, but take a look at his record:

  • We need to improve and repair critical infrastructure. Tony’s solution? Levy a sales tax. When that fails, borrow money!

  • We need parks and recreational facilities. Tony’s solution? Borrow money!
